How do clouds break into smaller clouds?

Ok, when gathering inforamtion on this topic I got ALOT of reasons why clouds can break apart, so I am going to give you one word to sum it all up; Tempreture.

Many professors, scientist and other very smart people predicted that brightness and tempreture changes and non-Brownian movements can cause clouds to break to any size.

Non-Brownian movement is the fast movement of particles sustained in a liquid. Dr. Robert Brown first experimented this idea in the 1800's. Now, I do not completely understand this but I will tell you what I found:

***Einstein believed that there waas some connection between thermal energy and Brownian movement. This famous man once said "Under the microscope one, to some extent, immediately sees a part of thermal energy, in the form of mechanical energy and moving particles."

***This combined with the law of radiation (high tempertures) and it turned into "the breaking of clouds, etc"

So basically, clouds are broken up because of these fast particles in the liquid, and the brightness (tempreture) outside.

I think this example might apply. When it is sunny outside clouds usually are fluffy and not really bunched up but more, like stratus clouds etc, that might be because of the tempreture and brightness outside, the particles in a liquid move rapidly, breaking the cloud. Verses on a gloomy day when the clouds are thich and gray and the tempreture is cold and it is not bright, the clouds tend to be big and gray this might be because of the light that is not there.

What makes soda fizz?

The fizz in soda is my favorite part of the drink. That fizz comes when soda creators force carbon dioxide, water and other things (flavoring) into the drink at high pressure. So when you open a can or bottle of soda you get the fizz come to the top because all the pressure is realeased. The gas bubbles come free from the liquid coming to the top!

Now most people also enjoy shaking a can or bottle of soda and then opening it, because I know I do! Well when doing this we "input energy."

So basically, when we shake a can of soda we are mixing all the gas at the top with the soda. So once we stop shaking all the bubbles expand and push their way to the top bringing along some soda and they push out all the soda and bubbles, creating the mess.

To avoid the mess people tap the side of the bottle or can so that all the bubbles on the side of will float to the top.

What causes cookies to burn?

Dark colored pans can burn the bottoms of cookies. High edged pans can prevent the cookies from proper browning and large pans prevent proper heat circulation which is necessary when baking.

Why do people look at the ceiling when they think?

People look at the ceiling because it distracts them from what is going on around them. Things like the sky, sunsets and the ceiling are much more peaceful to look at.

5 Fables

In the first story The Fox and the Goat I think that the moral or maxim is that you shouldn't trust strangers, or every person that you come across, because believe it or not there are bad people out in this world who will do anything for their advantage. In this case if the sheep would have thought he might have been out of the hole/ditch. In the second story The Crow and the Pitcher, I think the moral or maxim is that you should never stop trying, with perseverance comes success. The crow using his mind was determined for the water and with patience he added one pebble into the pitcher at a time and was able to raise the water level, and receive the water he deserved. In the next story The Fisher and the Little Fish I think the moral or maxim of the story is it is better to have something than have nothing. You should appreciate what you have. If the fisher did put the fish back the chances of getting the exact fish back ina few years would be one to a billion. In the fourth story The Four Oxen and the Lion I think that the moral or maxim is when you are together in a group you are stronger, when set apart or divided you are weaker. If the oxen had gone to the feild with one anther te lion wouldn't have killed them one at a time. In the final story The Wolf in the Sheep Clothing I think the moral or maxim is that looks can fool you and that you shouldn't always believe what you see. This is what I think the moral of these five stories are.

Humans were developed from the chimps. In Flo Paulie's article about the similarities between chimps and humans I learned alot of things, for example humans and chimps are 98% alike!! The humans and chimps started off with the same amount of chromosomes an and about 5 million years ago things started to change. Technically, the chimps would have half the number of chromosomes us humans do because one human chromosomes equals about 2 chimp chromosomes. These chromosomes can either be together or broken apart which could explain why the genomes differ by 1.2%

In the second article by Dr. Bronwyn MacInnis I learned a few interesting facts. In our body we have two copies of each chromosome. Each parent gives us a copy of 1/2 their DNA, one for each chromosome. In the end we have two copies of each chromosome, but they are a mix of both our parents. I also learned that their are over 10 trillion different combinations of genes for a chromosome. We also have alot of DNA instead of one strand because it increases genetic diversion.

In the final article I discovered that many organisms have a pair of sex cells which vary from the male and female. In humans the female pattern has the of the same letters; usually called XX and the male pattern is usually two different letters also known as XY. Though this is for humans and varies between different organisms.

Even though all of the organisms on earth are very different and confusing we are able to figure out hat makes us different. I still find the fact that chimps and humans are 98% alike surprising!!

Wooden Bowls

I think this story is related to CARES by empathy. The parents at first only felt the trouble they had to go through cleaning the grandfather's mess. They didn't feel empathy when they saw the grandfather with tears in his eyes because he was eating alone and even then they yelled at him for dropping a fork or spilling food. When the parents were put into the grandfather's shoes they realized that they were really hurting the grandfathers feelings. Then only did they feel empathetic and let the grandfather sit at the table despite his habit of still spilling food and dropping the fork. This is how the story "Wooden Bowls" is related to CARES.

Peppermint does help stomach aches.:) It is a herb actually! I didn't know that! It is used for more than a yummy candy or a cure for stomach aches but also commerical.

It is Possible to bake a pie in a microwave, though it doesn't taste half as good as a fresh oven bake pie..I have actually learned this from a home experience...thanksgiving I think it was last year we ended up not having enough dessert so we made microwave pie, overall not as good as bakery pie!
